NEW! NEEDLEPOINT DESIGNS!
I'm very excited to announce that several of my paintings are adapted to needlepoint  by www.tapestryfair.com.  For purchase information, contact your local needlpoint shop.
I lived in  Arizona for many years and loved the winters ! There is so much open sky and the sunsets are technicolor!  I hiked and biked and sometimes swam for my exercise and found satisfaction in cooking.  Now I live in Denver and can add snowshoeing , cross country skiing and kayaking to my list!  I also own a boat in Seattle which doubles as my residence while summer sailing in Puget Sound and watching dolphins play.  I love salads, soups and homemade cookies, but I don't like macaroni and cheese!

Louisiana, Montana and Florida were three places I lived before I was six.  I don't remember many things about them because I moved to Phoenix after that and then Denver.

I use Golden liquid acrylics, watercolors, markers, stencils, metal leaf, and collage papers.  I enjoy experimenting with all sorts of techniques and I do some editing of artwork on my iPad.  Lately, I  often listen to book tapes while painting, but my favorite is simply the sound of the birds twittering and calling outside the studio doors.   I usually buy my art supplies at my local art store, Meinengers (Denver).  I  work traditionally and have for many years, but recently I've started to explore art digitally with my new iPad pro and with Adobe Photoshop.

I belong to a book club and have for more than 30 years, cherishing the company of my fellow members as well as all the wonderful stories we've read.  My hobbies always seem to be craft projects that range from making jewelry, building dollhouses, crocheting animals to mosaics and handmade journals.

Making art means everything to me, and I'm excited to start every new work.  Creating each piece of art is an adventure and nothing is ever created in the same way.  I truly love the process.  And, I cherish the satisfaction in finally creating something interesting and beautiful.

If I wasn't an artist, I think I would be an architect.
