Its hot out there but here is a fun craft that will make you feel cool.  Thinking about Christmas decorations early can give you plenty of time to have beautiful things for the holiday.
1.Purchase or find cones in different sizes.  Cardboard or Styrofoam. Paint them black or dark green. Let paint dry.
2. Gather together old broken necklaces, junk jewelry, strings of beads and rhinestone pins.  Anything that glitters.
3. Using hot glue as your adhesive, wrap around the cone, or stick on the cone all your bits and pieces, making sure the background doesn't show.  You can even overlap and crisscross  for a more complex look. Don't forget to use old brooches as stars on top.
4. Create all the "Christmas Trees" you like and use them as a table setting with other shiny items, like mercury glass or crystal items.
5. Put some of the trees up on different levels and twine tiny, colorful, battery operated lights through your forest.
It makes a holiday dinner have magic in the air.
