​NEEDLEPOINT DESIGNS!

​Pat lived in Arizona for more than 45 years and loved the winters ! There is so much open sky and the sunsets were technicolor!  She hiked and biked for exercise and found satisfaction in cooking.  Now she lives in Denver and can add snowshoeing , cross country skiing and kayaking to her list!  She also co-owns a boat in Seattle which doubles as a residence while summer sailing in Puget Sound and watching dolphins play.  

Louisiana, Montana and Florida were 3 places she lived before I was 6 years old.  

She uses Golden liquid acrylics,  goldenpaints.com, watercolors, markers, stencils, metal leaf, and collage papers. She usually buys art supplies at  local art store, Meinengers (Denver) .  She works traditionally and has for 45 years, since graduating from Northern Arizona University with a BFA in design. www.nau.edu but in the last 3 years she explores art digitally with my her 12.9 inch, 6th generation iPad pro.  She has become a master of procreate drawing after taking classes for the iPad from www.procreate.courses
Recent classes in Immersion 2023 and 2024 with Bonnie Christine,  have made her very versitle in her beloved surface pattern design using Adobe Illustrator.
www.bonniechristine.com   has put her on top of her game with creating beautiful patterns.   Currently she is learning more exciting techniques with Sarah Watts, in Paint to Pattern on Photoshop, www.schoolformisfitmakers.com
Combining all the techniques from Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and painting and drawing in her sketchbooks has created endless fun and excitment.  Previously she took several collage workshops  from www.courses.estemcleod.com which added some wonderful techniques to her work.

She belongs to a book club and has for more than 30 years, cherishing the company of  fellow members as well as all the wonderful stories we've read.  Her hobbies always seem to be craft projects that range from making jewelry, building dollhouses, crocheting animals to mosaics and handmade journals. 

Making art means everything to her.  Creating each piece of art is an adventure and nothing is ever created in the same way.  The process is truly amazing.  She cherish the satisfaction in creating something interesting and beautiful.

If she wasn't an artist, she would be an architect.
